Gary Worthy | A & P Program Graduate

I would like to take the time to thank the people at Spartan for extending a courteous welcome to me on Tuesday, June 3, 2003. I graduated from the A & P program in 1972.
I had not been back to Tulsa since 1972 and while waiting for a flight at the airport I decided to visit the school. Everyone at both campuses cordially greeted me on my unannounced visit. I was given an Alumni package and directions to the hangars on the airport. Almost 31 years had passed since I had set foot in those old hangars. Tulsa has certainly changed in 30 years. Wow! What an experience!
Mr. Anderson greeted me and gave me a tour of the hangars and all of the facilities. Mr. Anderson was one of my former instructors. We talked about all the instructors and reminisced about all the happenings there during my training. What a thrill to meet an old friend and see the changes that have been made. The memories of my days there all came flooding back.
After an exciting 13 year career as a mechanic and now a 17 year career as an FAA Inspector I have Spartan to thank for training that helped me to get to where I am today. Through all the years I have never lost the love for aviation that was instilled in me by the instructors and personnel at Spartan.
Thanks again to everyone there for the fantastic visit. Please see that Mr. Anderson gets this message. I have never enjoyed a visit with an old friend more.
Best wishes to everyone at Spartan
